Pride for Welshman nominated for teaching award
The televised Pride of Britain's Teacher of the Year award will be presented at the end of the month.
And in the running for the prestigious accolade is Paul Harries, of Narbeth CP school in Wales, according to the Western Telegraph.
He has successfully made it as one of the finalists for his region, following nomination by a former pupil.
If he is voted the best in his region, he will qualify to attend a glittering awards ceremony in London, as well as a special reception held by the Prime Minister at Downing Street.
Described as "very busy" by his headmistress, Mr Harries is a member of the PTA, has run a book competition for pupils and coaches school sports teams.
The award ceremony, which is sponsored by the Daily Mirror, marks its tenth anniversary this year.
They will be aired on ITV on October 1st.
