Music teacher takes break for West End
Although he usually spends his days teaching the drums, Gary Cubberley also has another career.
When he's not in the classroom at Peterborough Regional College, he appears as part of the orchestra at some of the West End's most famous musicals.
Having performed in hit shows Billy Elliot and Les Miserables, he is now appearing in A Spoonful of Stiles at Her Majesty's Theatre.
Mr Cubberley successfully manages to complete both his great loves - teaching and performing - alongside one another.
"I love having the chance to still play in the big London shows and I really try to encourage my students with their music, I am proof that working hard can get you your dream career," he told the paper.
More impressive multi-tasking has recently come from four teachers who have headed to Beijing to take part in the Olympic games, in events such as weightlifting, hockey and rowing.
