Headteacher's website design pays off
The work of a headteacher has paid off, with the selling of a programme he developed to improved schools' communication with parents.
A portal designed by head of Sunbury's St Paul's Catholic College with the help of an IT company works to keep parents informed about their child's progress at school, Staines News reports.
"One of the common complaints we get from parents is that problems can go unchecked because they simply didn't know about them," he told the paper.
The website provides parents with live updates about the behaviour, performance and attendance of their children, in both a positive and negative light.
And now a number of schools have expressed interest in purchasing the programme for their own use, with St Paul's receiving a share of the profits.
Parents recently gained permission from Ucas to act as an agent for their children as part of their university application process.
