Hat-trick for adventurous teacher
Teaching took a back seat as daring 29-year-old Andi Jones ran up the highest mountain in Wales recently.
The teacher took part in the Snowdon International Mountain Race for the third time, reports the Manchester Evening News.
And Mr Jones set a record as the only man to have ever won the competition three years in a row.
Although it was not an easy race, he managed to soar past his rivals, finishing the ten-mile course from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon in 66 minutes and two seconds.
"It's a tough race, the weather was hot, and when you run all the way up to the top and back down again it really kills you," Mr Jones told the paper.
Another adventurous teacher also recently took part in a difficult race, this time at international standard - Loughborough secondary school teacher Julia Blewitt-Jenkins participated in the ITU Sprint World Championships in Canada earlier this month, according to the Loughborough Echo.
