International teacher training comes to Wales
A UK college has won the contract to hold an international teaching training scheme for the fifth consecutive year.
Swansea College will host the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Teacher Training programme in October.
As part of the programme, a group of Korean English teachers will spend one month in the city and learn from the Welsh example of living and teaching.
Helen McClure, international office manager at Swansea College, said that the institution was "absolutely delighted" to be the only UK college to host the teacher training programme for a fifth time.
Jeff Gunningham, principal and chief executive, added: "This is great news that really cements Swansea College's reputation as one of the leading providers of teacher training programmes for the international market."
Swansea College is one of the largest colleges in the south-west of Wales and, in a development which may help it Korean visitors, recently launched a website to help people who are new to the city.
