School receives praise
A school in Luton has received a glowing report from the Ofsted inspectors who recently visited the educational facility.
The local bedfordtoday.co.uk website reported that the inspectors were impressed with the standards of education and pupil care when they visited St Joseph's Roman Catholic Infant School on Gardenia Avenue in the town.
Overall, the school was given a "good" verdict in its latest inspector report, and the team from Ofsted said the 383 pupils seemed to be enjoying the education they received at the facility.
According to the website, the report noted: "Pupils' personal development is a strength of the school and is outstanding. This is because all staff give pupils devoted and excellent care, guidance and support."
It also praised the use of new technology, such as interactive whiteboards.
However, the report did suggest that teachers needed to ensure marking and comments given to pupils were more specific. They said this would mean the children could better understand how well they had performed.
St Joseph's Roman Catholic Infant School currently has a four-form entry system.
