Select Education Employees Rewarded

Select Education held its prestigious Annual Awards Dinner recently at the Hayley Conference Centre in Eastwood, near Nottingham.

The dinner was hosted to reward employees who have made a valuable contribution to the organisation over the past year, in terms of their performance and their professionalism. Employees were recognised across the following categories: 'most improved consultant of the year', 'most improved manager of the year', 'manager of the year' and 'special award for excellence'.

Fozia Batool and Syrah Martin from the Ilford office were both rewarded, winning the 'consultant of the year' and 'most improved manager' award respectively, whilst the 'most improved consultant award' went to Imogene Grange from the Leeds branch. The 'manager of the year' prize went to Manchester's Liz Edwards (pictured right with Bob Wicks), while the prestigious 'special awards for excellence', which rewards members of staff who went over and above the call of duty to support the business, were awarded to Debbie Brown for setting-up the Select Training Academy in Luton and to Karen Cooke, business manager at the Leeds office, who excelled in supporting the SEN sector at her branch as well as qualifying as a Team-Teach trainer.

The 'manager of the year' and 'office of the year' prizes were awarded on stringent criteria such as budgetary performance, gross profit, sales volume, staff turnover, customer service and market penetration, while the 'most improved' awards were based on profit and personal improvement in comparison to the previous year.

All winners received a framed certificate form Bob Wicks, Executive Chairman of Select Education, as well as a financial reward ranging from 1,000 for the most improved consultant and most improved office prizes, to 3,000 for the other awards.

This event forms part of Select Education's employee incentive scheme, which rewards a special member of staff every month. Candidates are nominated by their regional directors or managers, and the final winners are chosen by Select Education's board of directors.
