Select Education responds to appeal by Newbury School to help repair vandalised property

Select Education, the UK's number one specialist education recruitment agency, has donated 200 to Fir Tree Primary School in Newbury to help with their fund raising effort to replace school equipment damaged as a result of vandalism.

Last October, Fir Tree Primary School had their roof broken by vandals, consequently damaging books, equipment and most classrooms. Staff and parents made a valiant effort to save and restore as many school material and equipment as they could to ensure pupils continued their education uninterrupted.

Sue Pearson, Headteacher at Fir Tree Primary School emphasised her distress at 'the loss for many children whose hard work, produced during the first months of the new school year, had been destroyed.'
