REC Supply Teacher of the Year Award
We are pleased to announce that once again a Select Education candidate has won the prestigious REC Supply Teacher of the Year Award. Colin Mills, a candidate from Liverpool and winner of the Teacher of the term was nominated for this year's REC award. Colin's application made it through the vetting process and in to the next round. One of twelve contenders, Colin was invited to London for an interview with the REC, and he knocked the interview panel for six. Expressing his overwhelming enthusiasm for teaching and his commitment to education, Colin impressed the panel with his honest and intelligent statements. Today the REC announced that Colin had indeed won the 2006 Supply Teacher of the Year Award. Colin will receive his award on the 7th of June at a special Westminster event at the House of Commons.
