Good Citizen Award 2006 - Nominations

Select Education invited secondary schools across England to nominate their school's Citizen of the Year 2006.

Ofsted recently reported significant progress in implementing National Curriculum citizenship in secondary schools. However the report highlighted the very real difficulty of promoting participation and responsible action in schools.

With this in mind Select Education launched a Good Citizen Award 2006 for secondary pupils.

All that was required was the name of their school's Citizen of the Year 2006 and a brief profile on why they have been nominated.

Below is a list of all nominations entered by schools. Details of the Award and the Citizen of the Year 2006 will be published in our newsletter which goes to all schools nationwide.

The winners will be announced shortly.
