Providing Support Staff and Teaching Assistants to Schools
At Select Education we understand the complexities of the support role within
schools, in fact when the teaching assistant role first started growing in
importance Select Education was instrumental in introducing new services for
teaching assistants. It was this exciting development which prompted us to
publish our best-selling How to be a Successful Teaching Assistant in 2002. At
that time, there was nothing to help teaching assistants to understand their
role.
Thousands of support staff register with Select Education every year, giving
schools access to the broadest range of top-quality candidates possible. They
work across the entire spectrum of education and with all age groups. You will
find dedicated early years, primary, secondary and special needs recruitment
consultants in each of our
offices, many of whom are qualified teachers themselves so they already
understand the challenges you and your team face every day. Our team of
consultants will work with you to identify the specific requirements of the
position so that we can ensure that any support staff we place with you receive
a detailed overview of the expectations you will place upon them and the work
they will need to carry out.
If you wish to discuss your individual staffing requirements directly with one of our education specialists
please contact your local
office by calling us on 0845 600 1234 or via
education@selecteducation.com.
All our offices
are open from 7.00am until 6.00pm Monday to Friday, except on bank holidays. We
also offer an on-call service which means you can place a booking either for a
pre-booked absence or for emergency cover as soon as the need arises. A
consultant in each office
will be contactable on the local office number until 10.00pm each evening and
throughout the weekend. After this time an answering machine is available
whereby your message will be picked up and dealt with the very next morning.
