Help Build the Longest Hand Daisy Chain in the World for Children In Need
Select Education realises that the Children In Need Appeal is all about helping children. Select Education is working with many schools to help with our record attempt.
We bring to you our Helping Hands campaign which involves children being creative and encourages a positive attitude towards helping each other; a value we all appreciate in any walk of life.
As we at Select Education are involved with helping 1000s of schools and nurseries we wanted to give children the opportunity to be noticed and appreciated for the helpful, kind and thoughtful things they do for people around them.
Children across the country have been decorating their hand templates with paint, tissues, crayons and pens. Each hand was eventually joined securely by taping the back of the hands together thumb to pinkie to form one long chain.
Select Education is proud to announce that with your help we have managed to collect over 10,000 hands, and raising thousands of pounds for Children In Need!
All of our entries have now been collected and I'm afraid we cannot accept any more hands, but please call your local office on 0845 600 1234 and we will arrange to collect any donations you might have. Please let us know the amount collected when you call.
It is hoped the completed hand chain will be displayed on 16 November 2007, Children In Need day, with the aim to get on TV with Terry Wogan and Pudsey.
A big thank you to all of the schools who took part and helped us achieve this result.
