Investors In People Standard

Investors in People logo

The Investors in People Standard is a framework for delivering business improvement through people. Developed in 1990, the Standard helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of their people. Since it was developed the Standard has been reviewed every three years to ensure that it remains relevant, accessible and attractive to all. The most recent review was completed in November 2004.

Select Education is a recognised IIP organisation. The framework ensures that organisations meet the same criteria as other organisations although allowing each company to be individual in finding the most suitable means for achieving success through their people.

Select Education recognises a number of benefits from operating within the framework guidelines including;

  • We recognise that Investors in People is central to helping our employees to become customer focused enabling Select Education to effectively meet the needs of our client schools;
  • Select Education also recognises that being an Investor in People helps to attract the best quality Education Consultants and helps provide a reason for schools to select our services;
  • We recognise that investing in people significantly improves the results of our internal quality programmes including for example ISO 9000 and other quality initiatives which we are involved in; and
  • Investor in People status also helps to bring public recognition for any achievements as they are measured against a rigorous National Standard.
