Campaign For Learning
Select Education is the proud supporter of the Campaign for Learning. The
Campaign for Learning works to build motivation, create opportunities and
provide support for learning in families and communities, workplaces and
schools.
The Campaign for Learning started life in 1995 as an RSA (the Royal Society for
the encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce) initiative and became an
independent charity in November 1997. The charity was created with the sole
purpose of championing the cause for lifelong learning.
Select Education is a firm supporter of the Campaign for Learning's vision of
working for an inclusive society in which learning is understood, valued and
available to everyone as of right. Now entering its seventh year, our continued
support for the Campaign includes sponsorship of the:
-
Policy forums, in which new ideas about lifelong learning are discussed and
exchanged.
-
Series of newsletters to supporters and friends, helping to keep everyone
informed about new breakthroughs in learning
-
Annual Learning to Learn Conference, the premier lifelong learning event in the
calendar.
Above all, we hope to have added to the Campaign's influence and presence by
ourselves being powerful advocates for learning throughout life.
'I can think of no better way to demonstrate the values we share with the
Campaign for Learning, than by making our support tangible in the form of
financial sponsorship!' Bob Wicks FREV MIoD, Executive Chairman of Select
Education Plc
